I have recently found the technique of stamping an outline stamp with white embossing powder and filling it in with watercolor. I really like how this flower card turned out using the “Lovely Day” stamp set.
The card base is Lemongrass card stock stamped with a scritch scratch background stamp in Whip Cream ink. It makes a very subtle soft backdrop. The flower is stamped with Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed with White Embossing powder. The flowers are water colored with a light blue and golden ink and then outlined with a darker blue ink to make them pop. The sentiment is white heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock and I added a triple bow in Lemongrass thread. I also added some Journey sequins for sparkle. I like it! Now I have to get back to making Easter cards.
Thanks for looking.
I’ve been working on Easter cards and have several more to go.
This bunny stamp set is All Ears from Fun Stampers Journey. I stamped a sky background using the Brush Stroke stamp set and Pool Play and Beach Breeze inks, crisscrossing the stamp in both colors. The bunny is inked using Bubble Gum and Pool Play ink. The grass is made from Limeade Splash card stock and the Border Details die cut. Everything is wrapped with a Beach Breeze ribbon bow knot and mounted on a Bubble Gum card base. I have lots more Easter cards to make so I had better get busy.

I picked up this Lawn Fawn clear stamp set at a scrapbook store in New Braunfels called Scrapbook N’ More when they hosted the pop-up sale for Stamp-n-Storage in February. It’s really a cute set and best of all it came with the die cuts.
I finally inked it up for a birthday card to send to my BFF from high school. The hot air balloons are heat embossed in white embossing powder on watercolor paper and then colored with Kuretake Clean Color Brush Pens. The clouds were white heat embossed on Pool Play card stock and sponged with Whip Cream ink. The card base is Lavender Fusion card stock with Pretty Amethyst and Pool Play layered on top. The Pool Play tag is dry embossed with a cloud embossing folder. The sentiment is white heat embossed on Limeade Splash card stock.
Happy Birthday Teddi! I hope you have a great year!

I finished my Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Box cards for February. I love this butterfly stamp set (Bold Wings, SS-0420) and Richard’s card designs are gorgeous.
If you haven’t seen the Bloom Box before, it contains a full size stamp set, all of the card stock and all of the embellishments you need to create four different cards. It also includes a four-color booklet with instructions and illustrations for each of the four cards. The only thing you need to supply is the ink and glue.
If you are interested in receiving your own Fun Stampers Journey Bloom Box, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have been hard at work on Christmas Cards. Here are the ones I have so far.
This card is similar to the previous one which was Richard’s Tuesday Tip card except that I cut a big ol’ hole out of the center. I white heat embossed the flowers and colored them with ink refills and the Journey blending brush.
This card is loosely based on Richard Garay’s Tuesday Tip card.
