Have A Lovely Day

I have recently found the technique of stamping an outline stamp with white embossing powder and filling it in with watercolor.  I really like how this flower card turned out using the “Lovely Day” stamp set.

The card base is Lemongrass card stock stamped with a scritch scratch background stamp in Whip Cream ink.  It makes a very subtle soft backdrop.  The flower is stamped with Versa Mark ink and then heat embossed with White Embossing powder.  The flowers are water colored with a light blue and golden ink and then outlined with a darker blue ink to make them pop.  The sentiment is white heat embossed on Black Licorice card stock and I added a triple bow in Lemongrass thread.  I also added some Journey sequins for sparkle.  I like it!  Now I have to get back to making Easter cards.

Thanks for looking.

Special Birthday

I picked up this Lawn Fawn clear stamp set at a scrapbook store in New Braunfels called Scrapbook N’ More when they hosted the pop-up sale for Stamp-n-Storage in February.   It’s really a cute set and best of all it came with the die cuts.

I finally inked it up for a birthday card to send to my BFF from high school.  The hot air balloons are heat embossed in white embossing powder on watercolor paper and then colored with Kuretake Clean Color Brush Pens.  The clouds were white heat embossed on Pool Play card stock and sponged with Whip Cream ink.  The card base is Lavender Fusion card stock with Pretty Amethyst and Pool Play layered on top.  The Pool Play tag is dry embossed with a cloud embossing folder.  The sentiment is white heat embossed on Limeade Splash card stock.

Happy Birthday Teddi!  I hope you have a great year!

Thanks for stopping by.
