I surprised even myself.
I made this Barbie cake for Addie’s family party. It was tasty too.
She loved it.
Addie and her friends had a great time at Chuck E. Cheese’s for her 5th birthday party. They played the machines, rode the rides, danced to the music, ate cake and pizza. I am pleased to say there were no melt-downs.
Yesterday was our regular Stamping Thursday at my house. Jody completed a Christmas Card and I made this yellow submarine card with the “An Adventure” stamp set from Fun Stampers Journey. The background paper is from the “Yummy and Delicious” family which will retire at the end of this month. The base card is Banana Cream card stock. I wrapped Black Journey Thread around the designer paper as an accent and tied a bow. I also put Journey Glaze on the little portholes to make them look like glass. And everything was colored with Copic Markers. It turned out pretty cute.
Thanks for stopping by. You have a good day!
This is a card for Ed’s brother who’s birthday isn’t until Saturday so I hope he isn’t reading this. It’s also a sneak peak of the new neon color family that will be featured in the 2016-2017 Fun Stampers Journey annual catalog. The new catalog publishes July 1, 2016.
This is my card for the “Can You Case It” challenge using only red, white, and blue. Actually this is my very first challenge entry ever. Yay, I hope to do more!
At our regular stamping Thursday, Jody and I CASE’d (Copy And Share Everything) this card from Sandi MacIver’s website. Sandi calls the technique Triple Time and the card includes stamping as well as heat embossing. Sandi is a very talented stamper. I’ve followed her website for years.
This was my first try at this technique and I love the overall look. I’m pleased with the stamping except for the one Oatmeal Cookie flower under the happy birthday sentiment. I should have moved it to another spot because it blurs the greeting. But then I should have also used my embossing buddy to get a crisper emobossed sentiment. So this is a CASE of “Do as I say, not as I do”.
